The clueless skier (mercifully unnamed) did not read the directions nor register the device, and had been innocently switching it on each time he headed into the backcountry, thus triggering a response from concerned rescuers. And the cops spent all that time and tax payer $$$ to go &quot;see&#039; the folks, and did not get the numbers off the beacons ? ?   Only the idiot that is wasting everyones time, is going to rufuse to show and share their information ! !  Rocket Science 101.</description>
