Snowshoe Racing Season Starts Sunday
It’s mud season on Front Range foothills trails, so that means it must be snowshoe racing season in the mountains. The first race is this weekend: the Gobbler Chase 5K at Copper.
Racing Underground maintains a good calendar of most snowshoe races around the state, including the state championships (January 17 at Tennessee Pass) and the North American championships (March 7 at Beaver Creek).
One snowshoe race that won’t be happening this year is the Turquoise Lake 20-miler, the famed ultra outside Leadville that has been running for two decades.
